D-Day: Incoming

Inevitably there will be collisions...LCT and LCM exchange insurance details....and 'manflu' has only put the invasion on hold for one week (some kind of record for me)

Fortunately no harm done.
Shuttle service cheap and efficient...no screaming or dying please...
Big ones are 'bullet magnets', so little ones sometimes survive...
Casualties as they hit the wire...

HQ successfully makes the climb and orders smoke....good shot too.
'Good job you'd yer bowler on'
Dis-masted in the heat of things...
 Defences alive and kicking.
...few tanks survive long on the open beach.
'Thirty ton shelter, that'll do nicely.'
 Heavy damage and no movement...
Direct hit from a bazooka...left flanking attack successful.
 Direct hit. Fifty percent casualties.
More, and some specialist, tanks for the fray.
 ...still they come on...
 Moving through the barrage...

Up the slope to who-knows-what.

More soon...watch this space.
